DoubleTree by Hilton
Downtown, El Paso
The Doubletree Suites El Paso is a major renovation project developed as part of El Paso’s downtown redevelopment plans. The hotel, originally constructed in the 1960s, was closed permanently in the 1990s.
The structure of the building was sound, but all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and life safety construction needed to be replaced. The exterior of the building was also totally redesigned.
The structure has a first floor public area containing lobby, restaurant/bar, coffee shop and administrative offices. Floors two thru six contains guest parking. Level seven includes guestrooms, meeting rooms, exercise area and outdoor pool/cabana area. Guestrooms on floors three thru sixteen, and a 17th floor ballroom and prefunction with panoramic views of El Paso.
With 201 guestrooms, the completed Doubletree hotel is a new landmark and brings back to life an iconic structure in downtown El Paso.
